Dental Crowns

RESTORE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION

Dental crowns are some of the most common restorative dental treatments. They help to restore both the form and function of damaged teeth. Left untreated, a tooth that has suffered significant wear, decay, or trauma will weaken more with time and may need to be extracted.

Our custom dental crowns provide a natural-looking way to prevent these issues altogether. By covering the damaged tooth, the crown provides needed strength and stability. This helps to prevent further damage and restores your oral health and function.

Dental Bridges

REPLACE YOUR MISSING TEETH

Dental bridges are made of a prosthetic tooth (or teeth) fused to traditional crowns on each side. These bridges help to replace missing teeth and restore normal chewing function. They are an effective solution whether you need to replace one or multiple teeth. Each bridge is carefully designed to blend with your existing smile. And because they are permanently cemented in place, you don’t have to worry about any removable appliances. With a good at-home oral health routine and regular professional cleanings, your dental bridges can last for many years. They are a long-lasting and durable solution for missing teeth.

Partial and Full Dentures

COMPLETE YOUR SMILE WITH A NEW SET OF TEETH

Dr. Balthasar can provide both partial and full dentures. These are custom-made removable dental appliances that replace missing teeth. Partial dentures are suitable if you have some healthy teeth left. Full dentures are a solution for patients who have had all teeth removed. In either case, we will carefully craft your dentures to ensure they are comfortable so that you can confidently speak and eat as you wear them.

Dentures can significantly improve your quality of life. On the other hand, failure to treat missing teeth can bring negative consequences. Remaining teeth can shift forward, resulting in a misaligned bite, and if no healthy teeth remain, it can dramatically alter your facial structure. Eating and speaking will be more difficult as well, so it’s important to replace your missing teeth without delay.

I have had two appointments at Dr. Balthasar's office, and each was a very pleasant experience. ...she put me at ease by explaining the procedure (a three-tooth bridge after dental implants) carefully and answering my questions thoroughly. ...I appreciate her expertise and her straightforward-but-kind bedside manner. I trust her and am glad she will be my dentist.

Implant-Supported Dentures

A RANGE OF OPTIONS AVAILABLE

Implant-supported dentures are another innovative option to replace your missing teeth. Unlike traditional dentures, they attach directly to surgically placed implants. This extra stability brings with it many advantages. For one, implant-supported dentures will not rub the gums or shift when you talk or chew like traditional dentures can sometimes do. This results in improved comfort and fit. Implant-supported dentures also feel more like natural teeth. The number of implants you may have when it comes to implant-supported dentures will depend on individual needs and the condition of your jawbone. Adequate bone density is necessary for any form of dental implant. Dr. Balthasar can facilitate hybrid dentures, implant-retained dentures, or leave-in dentures.

Dental Implants

PERMANENT, NATURAL-LOOKING TEETH REPLACEMENTS

Dental implants have become one of the most sought-after tooth restorations, and for good reason. Whether you have one or more missing teeth, dental implants are the next best thing to your natural teeth. To start the process, you will need a consultation with Dr. Balthasar to assess your suitability for dental implants. If you have sufficient bone density and are a good candidate for implants, Dr. B will refer you to a specialist for implant placement. These small titanium posts will integrate with the jawbone and serve as the foundation for your final restorations. Once healed, Dr. Balthasar will fabricate and attach your new replacement teeth (dental crowns) to the abutments.

Dental implants offer stability not possible with regular dentures. They feel and look just like natural teeth and are the treatment of choice for many patients.
